/!\ This is a particularly tricky race to pick a design for, let me explain why. The aceans are the biotechnological race. As such, there is no "standard" acaean shape, they just mix'match genes from here and there to serve specific functions within their society. In theory all five examples here could cohexist in-universe as different types of Aceans.
BUT there are still two things I would like to choose and this would be:

-A standard playable "skin style" for crews and ships and architecture:

1- Insectoid-like.. with lots of articulated parts, carapaces, little spikes and claws.
2- "Gigeresque" biomechanical with lots of tubes and shiny stuff. Expect a good deal of creepy uneasing stuff that reminds us of human anatomy.
3-Animalistic and or chimeric.. I'm not sure this drawing communicates the idea for this. But basically, everything else a space creature could be that has a defined, non-arthropodeal feel. It could be a combination of different aliens and or referencing vertebrate animals, scales, fur, etc.
4-Underwater Etereal. Wow, sounds like the name of some perfume.. anyway, remeber the aliens from the movie "The Abyss"? Well, then google them. This style should reference all those translucent and bioluminicent organism that move about in the sea.
Jelly fishes, sea slugs...
5- Organ-organic. Well this one is odd.. basically it looks like something alive turned inside-out. Crew and ships would be covered in stuff that looks like bone, muscle and.. organs.
Many Zerg structures look like this.

-THEN there is the -avarage structure of the individual-.
This is not so important, but even though there will always be -big- differences from character to character, I would like it to be some kind of tencency or theme within it. How does the avarage drone, or soldier of the aceans move around? What kind of creature would you like your avatar to be?

A- Insectoid. As having several legs arching around a central body.
Remeber this is -not- linked to the options above. That means your insectoid -avarage structure of the individual- could be convined with an animalistic chimeric or organ-organic -skin style-.
B- Humanoid. Again, maybe the avarage drone is a humanoid, in a Gigeresque skin, as pictured here, or maybe it's an insectoid, or underwatwer etereal style?
C- Something else.. probably a quadrupedal, or some other animalistic body structure.
D- What is that thing? I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I don't know.. some flying thing? that would be pretty cool actually.
But no, I think D would be Armonic Xenobiological at it's finest. I would try to design something quite armonious and beautiful that just isn't from this world to be the avarage structure.
E- Shapeless. Blobs and sthings that twist and other weird stuff.

So since the 3d models for the first acaean ship have already been dropped in the forums, is it safe to assume that youve already decided on a design? :o Which one did you choose if i may ask? :D

nother question bout your races: so far most of the newer pictures of those things have something with them what i would, for the lack of a better term, call an embryo. A humanoid looking one.
So what about that? Is that some breeding device? or is the embryo actually the acaean and the creature we see more of a biological engineered body machine? Or is that just one specific acaean and im mistaken?

That information has not yet been released :P
Hint: you got it pretty much right in one of the things you said.
Keep up creating fannon, you help us a lot :)

its still quite gigerseque anyway.
Hmm, i supose their spaceships will be organic too?
I could see some rather interresting stuff happening there. Spaceship melee combat, ships spawning other ships mid combat...

Personally, I would have to say that number one is the best out of all of them in the sense that it looks the most distinctly alien. I mean, number five is also very alien-looking, but simultaneously it looks far less anatomically probable. If you were to take the insectoid approach, it would be an interesting motif to make all of their building materials be techno-organic chitin, and all of their machines actually be organisms designed specifically for one task. For instance, a computer might be something with a chromatophor-covered membrane that serves as a screen, and some weird exposed nerve structure to serve as the "tower". energy sources could just be enormous frills or sails that harvest energy from thin air, and factories would look more like gardens/laboratories, just to name a few ideas.

Does anyone se the chicken on nr 3s back or is it just me? Also, does nr 4 hold a bird cage? I love them all, but I would go with nr 4 if I could only pick one because it was the least "human" one and I think it would be awesome to have jellyfish conquering space! :D

They do. All of them have some small pet with them.

That is just great! :) Love it! :D (I can see the salamander that nr 5 is holding now, clever)

I really like the third creature design I love the look of the head, and the tentacle wrapping around itself is great, but all your designs look superb.
