I love your version of Cthulhu!!! You're take on it is so alien and different, but still keeps to the basic description that Lovecraft writes about. Most people just put an octopus on top of an orgre's body and add some wings and call it a day. You've created something completely foreign and alien looking that it tops other versions I've come across. Fantastic!
in the story, the sculpture of the dreaded cthulhu is said to "represent a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline" so that probably where the crustacean part came from. Nicely done IRIRIV! diffrent from that same old-same old octopushead!
As of all these years having witnessed many, this stands certainly as one of my favorite Cthulhu envisionings. Beautiful He looms in all His grotesque glory. Colour, lightning, monochromacity, texturing, the (quite noted) geometry of the architecture - all stunning; breathtaking. When I look at this through the right eyes, I get to feeling as if I'm there, in fact bearing witness to His reemergence.
I belong to the school of thought believing genuine art provokes an emotional response. This surpasses that - easily inducing not only an emotional stirring within me, but a deeply rooted instinctual one as well.
