Yes, basically. I felt I really needed it. I used the time and opportunity I had while on the public transport.

I really love these sketch collections of yours. I should do this but I don't have a lot of opportunity and I'm always afraid people will notice and be weirded out.

Great observations about people--very similar to the ones I make on my drawing sessions in public. Love the glasses comment. Thank you for putting together this wonderful spectrum of characters!

I believe that people rarely smile because they are too immersed in thoughts of necessity.
I've noticed a lot of people are constantly under stress.

Those are some pretty damn nice sketches, and this sounds like a brilliant lifedrawing exercise...might have to take it up myself.

The sketches are amazing - but, the little comments of insight make it even more worthwhile. It made me stop and really look at the people beyond their sketchiness... and... hm. Interesting how you were able to do that :D

I like you put story with drawings. How do you get to draw them so fast, when they are moving?

why people don't travel with a smile on their faces...?
I use to read while I'm in the bus or in the subway, even lately I'm reading hilarious novels, so I can't stop laughting...

Ok, let them think I'm crazy, but I like smiling everywhere.

Specially liked the profile of the old man in the middle of the composition.

there is something I love about sketches, so fresh, no need to apologize for the lack of Finnish or for the drawing to be well chosen, all you need to do is capture the moment. Damn, I need to start sketching more.

This is really cool! You do such great work!

Smile people! Smile so he can draw people who aren't always so miserable!
...
I wonder if they heard me? Meh... I'd tell the miserable ones to go suck a lemon, but that'd probably only make matters worse. XD

These are really amazing, I enjoyed looking at all of them. It makes me want to go on a bus or subway just so I can draw random people C:

Your notes are beautiful, I really was touched by the one about how people hardly smile. It's such a sad truth....

These are very nice sketches, and as for people not smiling you'd probably have more luck making them smile or catching people having a conversation. I don't usually smile unless I'm having an interesting conversation.

I've always wished that the place I live had more public transportation or places where I could sit and draw people without getting weird looks. Just out of curiosity, how people did notice you sketching them and how did they react?

Few people even notice. A woman catched me today and I got pretty scared o_o' She stood up and told me that she didn't knew what I was doing.
Then they proceed to check their hair and pose as if I would be doing a 17th cetury portrair. Really boring.
