Whale Leviathan

aGentlemanScientist  has contacted me to make some art for one of his next Trey the Explainer video about the biblic leviathan.
As a long time fan of his channel, I decided to join forces immediately and here it is!

My idea is that the Leviathan is a transitional whale that specialized in bubble net feeding like humpback and bryde's whales sometimes do. The difference is that without a fully developed baleen system, it uses it's long Basilosaurus-like body to aid encircling it's prey, thus explaining the ouroboros/world-serpent type accounts. While the "boiling of water" could be explained by the bubbles they use while hunting or the blow of their exhalation when out breathing. It's also suggested that the glow that might suggest fire to the ancients is actually produced by bioluminescent prey spooked up towards the surface of the water on a dark night's hunt.

Whales could be considered thick-skinned enough to be "armored" for bronze age standards, more so than fishes anyway, and the Leviathan has been assumed to be a whale at least enough to draw a conection (avoiding the likely yet boring scenario that it really was just a simple ol' whale). Because of all of this,
I think that this description makes for a good enough speculative profile of the beast.

Stay tunned for the video featuring it : ) I'll share that too.

Invocacion Fronteras: Stalker
Well it seems I have never uploaded this fellow from "Invocación Fronteras" to any of my platforms. A simple but handsome enough sketch if I can say so myself.
Lucky me, as I shuffle my folders for something to upload today. I uploaded bits and pieces of this collection to different places back in the day, so that will be troublesome as I continue to fumble for images that I could upload everywhere in the same day... but I'll worry about it later.

So... a friend of mine recently linked me to this:

copycover.com/search?key=rodri…

I'm not normally the one to rage over "they stehling muh artwerk!" lately, but this one seemed particularly grevious and largescale. It has 10ns of pages of my artwork and some other from people I can recognize at a glance. Apparently they are nearly lifting entire DA galleries from and selling prints with the images without the artist's consent.

Google you own work (and other people's actions if you are so kind) and report it. Inform them of the illegality of their business model. If anyone knows how to blast this thing down from the web entirely that'd be nice too.

Mister Vega, your talent is beyond any imagination! The pencil drawings are sumpreme, and God I would buy those retro dino cards. May I ask, for how long have you been drawing and whether you're self-taught (which is unlikely) or did you study anywhere? I'm only looking up to a career as an artist, and I'm self-taught and unsure if I'll be able to make it in the serious business, like you. Also, I still awe at the art you did for The Isle, the game's evolving and they're getting new artists on the project, but "Hyperendocrine Specimen Incident" is still the most terrifying of all in my opinion.
Just wanted to say kind words to you, I love your works :)

And you are very kind indeed. Thank you.
I always say you never "start" drawing, rather most kids just stop doing it at a point. I, like many just never stoped doing it.
I have had many teachers, my father I took short courses here mayored as an art teacher, I learned from colleagues and even the online artist community. I don't think anyone is really "self-taught".
I'm impressed too my the progress on the Isle, I really do hope it becomes a success and I'd even like to come back to the project. I just had to take some distance to sort some things out.
Thanks for everything.
